Creating Proposals

Step 1

Go to https://discord.pickasso.net/ and search for the DAO in which you want to create a proposal.

Step 2

Once you find your DAO, click the “View DAO” button.

Step 3

Click the “Proposals” button and click the “+” button to create a new proposal.

Step 4

Create a title for your proposal in the “Title” field. Describe your proposal in detail in the “Description” field.

Step 5

In the dropdown menu next to the “Expires In” option, select your voting deadline.

Step 6

Next to the “Voting Options” item, click the “+ Add option” button to add possible votes. In our case, we are deciding between “Yes” and “No”. You can add as many options as you want.

Step 7

Once you are happy with your proposal, click the “Send Proposal” button to submit it.

Step 8

In your Discord server, in the Pickasso DAO logs channel, the bot pings the DAO role (in our case “Waifu”), letting the DAO members know that a new proposal has been submitted. The ping message contains the following information:

  • Name of the person submitting the proposal

  • The proposal title and text

  • Expiration time in your local time

  • Link to the proposal on the Pickasso website

  • Possible voting options and the current distribution of votes
